Welcome to the South Dakota Miles and Doan Families Website!
Our mission is to provide a portal into the lives of the Miles and Doan Families who settled in Perkins County, located in North Central South Dakota, USA. The Communities of Brayton, Coal Springs, Chance, Bixby and Meadow and the Towns of Bison, Lemmon and Faith played an integral part in the lives of these Families and it is the intention of this Genealogy Site to document generations and ancestors through the use of biographies, recorded activities, and pictures.
Search for Family!
Try using the Search Tool (located in the upper right page area) to locate family records. The most effective way to locate records is to enter a Single Word!
Try these: Miles; Clarence; Florence; John; Calvin; Doane; Linda; Isabel; Chance; etc. When the record headers are displayed, click the link to view the record. Use the browser back button to navigate.
Registration!
There are areas of this site which you can only gain access to by registering, so be sure to Register.You must register to view the Family Genealogy Database records. Registration will add your name to the newsletter and you will then receive information about upcoming events. If you wish to add content, just contact me at Support@Doan.us.com and I will be glad to assist you. Registered Members can use the Modules to add content to this WebSite from your computer desktop.
Genealogy Modules!
Phase II of the Genealogy Modules has been completed and is activated. There are over 1370 Individual genealogy records and 450 Family genealogy records in this database. 15 Generations of the Doan Family Ancestry and 5 Generations of the Miles Family can be viewed. Records are being updated and added constantly, so this is a living record of the genealogy of the Doan and Miles Familes. This includes 3 Modules, Individual Genealogy Database, Family Genealogy Database and Genealogy Reports Modules. Check out the new Active Links features of these modules which allow you to follow ancestors and descendents from generation to generation.
